She lowered her hand and Thor ached to have it return to his skin. Suddenly the air around them had turned electric and it had nothing to do with his own abilities. He wanted to reach for her, to touch her face as she had just done, but he knew not if she would like him to. Personal space meant nothing to him in this moment, except only to serve as a reminder that they were not yet so familiar that he could completely ignore it.
He had no words to respond with, nor did he think he would be able to find them. Emma had so thoroughly entranced him. Finally, slowly, he reached to catch her wrist, not wanting to let it get to far away just yet. He was open to her, yes. He would lay himself out like a book for her if she so desired. This intimacy was something he craved and all she needed to do was partake.
Thor's willingness to move forward wasn't lost on Emma, nor was it noted without something of a struggle for her. What the hell was she doing? Why wasn't she moving away? He captured her wrist within his hand and she edged forward rather than back, turning her fingers to slide her hand into his. Palm to palm, eye to eye, and with fairly little space between them, she couldn't bring herself to let go. In spite of thinking she had a skill for letting her mind take over, her heart was very much present and in control of this moment.
"I should -" she started, searching for an excuse that she didn't want to give him. But words weren't coming as easily as they had before. Opening her mouth to speak, she took a soft breath and immediately closed it, using a quick motion to sweep her fingers against his, the touch too much and not enough. So she moved closer once more, tilting her head slightly and watching his eyes, waiting to see what he might do.
Thor felt a warmth start to fill his chest as she pressed her palm to his. He couldn't take his eyes off her. For all the dizzy light-headedness that she had cast upon him, he was very much present and stuck in this moment. He felt a little as though the entire universe had stopped around the two of them. Her skin on his made him feel tingly and her scent was slowly intoxicating him, dulling his senses. He would almost have ventured to guess that she had some magic herself if he did not know better. Who knew, maybe she did after all. Perhaps she didn't know. In any case, it was having a very strong effect on him

Emma straightened up as Thor began to close the small gap between them, doing her part to meet him halfway and closing her eyes the instant her lips brushed against his. She had been forced, ready or not, to adjust to certain types of physical affection from the citizens of Storybrooke. They weren't shy about simple touch, and hugging and supportive gestures were common. However, those brief moments had done nothing to prepare Emma for the intensity of such a soft kiss, which quickly warmed her from the inside out. Allowing anyone to share in a moment like this was rare for her, particularly because her attraction to him was so heavily influenced by a stronger emotional pull. She wanted to know Thor, everything from the stories he had to share, to the way his lips tasted on hers
