I step into the bar and immediately spot Casey at the bar itself in a lonely little corner, which also happened to be the cleanest. There were fewer peanut shells littering that floor beneath his stool, anyway. I really don't know how he manages to survive this place. It's not the most glamourous of dive bars. It's simply the closest.
Not that it's overly surprising, what with our insane schedules, but it is my first evening off without JD. He was still stuck in the hospital. And it's kind of... odd. Even with the kids, my place is going to seem a little more quiet than it should be. I wonder if he'll come to my place after his shift finally ends or simply crash at his own. Hell don't be that guy that mopes over his boyfriend oh god he's got me thinking that now being out of his sight for a few damn hours.
I shrug it off and order up a scotch as I step across the bar and join Kevin. "You're not hyperventilating yet are ya Kev?" I raise an eyebrow at the coaster covering his drink.
