Alicia and Kalinda finally pass the Bechdel test in Season 2

... well... almost since Will is mentioned but barely. As promised, here's the scene that was in the promo for Episode 2.09, Nine Hours.
Alicia and Kalinda gets to talk a little and for once it's Kalinda who opens up... just a little. Check out Alicia's face when she does :D

I loved loved that Kalinda finally confided just a little into Alicia. LMAO at the look on Alicia's face when she realizes she's actually not deflecting that one!

It was nice that they didn't waste that scene with Will talk! And I thought it was real cute that Alicia seemed so concerned about what Blake had and if Kalinda was in trouble.

Anyone else has the feeling Kalinda was lying when she said she wasn't in trouble before she changed her life? Her body language was so different from when she says she's not in trouble now... and the slight hesitation, I dunno.

The confiding was a HUGE moment for Kalinda, IMO. That's the very first time she ever seemed to make a CHOICE to let her guard slip! *happy sigh*

Her fidgety-ness when she said she wasn't in trouble... I sort of interpreted that as "It's not trouble if I can handle it." Or, "what's the problem, if there aren't any consequences?" Of course, it takes some mental gymnastics to actually believe that, so her moment of discomfort was her getting to a place where it could actually leave her lips.

Just one interpretation.:)

Let's just say she was spontaneous when she said "No" the first time and more reflective when she said "No" the second time. Whether that means she was in trouble in her past life or not, I'm not sure.

I flailed so much at this scene it wasn't even funny. Kalicia bonding?? On a bed, with drinks?? Kalinda backstory??

This episode was so much love.

That was a great scene among many great A/K scenes in a great episode. I wish they could all be like that.

I have to admire Archie Panjabi as an actress. Just watching her act out the scene where Kalinda looks at Alicia for a second and 'makes' the decision to open up a little bit. Small details like that just attest to what a fantastic actress she is.

So much of Kalinda is in those silent moments, in her looks and body language. She truly deserves every bit of that Emmy in each episode.

Aw, she's so used to drinking when having convos with Kalinda when not at work that she had two bottles ready! XP And yeah, her expression was adorable!
