No more oil needed for heating our house.

I canceled our oil deliveries today.  Now that my hands have become acquainted with the operation of the wood furnace, there is no need to heat our house with fossil fuel.  It's a good feeling to be able to control the quantity, quality, and source of the heat to keep the cold away from my home.  Much less at the whims of the political and economic ( Read more... )

So can we now attach unnecessary valves, gauges, and other random 1800's machinery parts onto your now Steampunk house?

Hmmm... Well if you consider the blend of the computer room with the armory in the basement.... And the fact that the furnace has 3 "accelerator controls"....

I think rather than being a fashion accessory, the valves, gauges, and other mechanical bits actually serve a function here. Here's a for instance, I have a spigot in the back yard that can be switched over to make hot water flow out. It just seemed useful. Does that make me a Spark? Could be.
