I so agree. If it's actually communicating, I prefer the telephone. If it's a quick notice like, "Hey, there's a party on the 11th at Suzie's house", or "The address is blah blah blah" then an email or text will suffice. In general I can't stand texting and I feel like I'm the only one who feels that way. I'm way more of an email gal. Emails can be like letters. They can be personal, they can be deep, they can by hilarious, emotional, etc.

But if I need someone to actually talk to, like I'm scared or mad or really excited and happy, in person or the telephone is the only way I find any sense of connection. When people text each other about the death of a loved one and a quick emoji of kisses is enough to satisfy them, that's just crazy to me.

So for me, this is my order of preference:

1. In Person
2. Phone
3. Letter / Email
4. Text (warning: text as infrequently as possible and do not expect a response lol)
