LJ Idol "Turtles All the Way Down"

A young father watched his daughter sleep, feeling that deep, complete sensation wash over him. Listening to her quiet breathing and the smack of her lips, he watched the way her arm tensed, found her lovie, and relaxed. There was peace in this place. It flickered in the night light.

His gaze fell to the metallic globe he had placed on her bedside ( Read more... )

I like that you took the "infinite regress" idea and made it worlds inside of worlds. Now I find myself wondering if the sunless world was the results of the orb being boxed up in the attic for awhile.

The idea that each outer world affects the next is just really fascinating. :)

Once I tacked down what the subject meant I really enjoyed mulling it over. There were so many ways it could have gone and I am thrilled with where we took it. As for darkness, boxes, attics...maybe? :)

Very much enjoyed. I didn't realize your entries were going to intersect. Very cool. I like the way you write with most paragraphs having a brief sentence of conclusion. I hope you can find the time to jump into the competition next season!

I will do what I can. Living with a writer and two small children means I don't get as much time at a computer as I like but thank you for the kind words.

Since I started Idol late in Season 6 to home game, I never would have believed how much time I would put into it! But I did Season 7 and now this Season and loved every miniute of it. Writing in the home game is fun too. No pressure there. You don't HAVE to write if you don't have time. But the downside is not as many people seem to read them so you don't get as much feedback.
