We've been having Colin in the high chair ever since he was really little - but we have the kind that reclines. We did the same with my older son too - I think it really helps with sitting, social skills, being able to be part of the family and learning about eating :)

And I started the sippy cup last week too, and wasn't sure if it was too soon. Looks like it's ok. He is always a little surprised when he gets some liquid, but seems to enjoy it too.

How cool! With Natey he was in a bouncer chair until he was about 7 (or was it 8?) months old... due to his t00pid dad not working not being able to afford a high chair. With Katey, she has a high chair ready for her already (Jon's boss helped us with that), but she eats either in my arms or in her bouncer. And I agree with you on that though.

Katey won't hold the ba-ba unless the feeder is doing most of the holding... she'll hold my fingers in place with her hands, but she hasn't quite figured out how to hold a full ba-ba. She held a half-full one about a month ago, and I think it was just a fluke. But, she'll soon be holding it and *sniff* her "Declaration of Independence" will be underway! =)
