steve? danno? steve+danno? steve/danno? hearts-for-eyes
Random post (after an eternity of silence due to RL & Big Bang Busy-Ness) is... not entirely random. As I have an unexpected moment of personal LJ time to enjoy, I bring the following saga:
Though it's pretty simple as sagas go, really.
* is convinced to at least try watching an episode of the new Hawaii Five-O
* DVR's
* a few, er, months later, watches the Pilot
* 5 minutes into the pilot: O_O okay, Alex O'Loughlin is sort of insanely hot.
* 10 minutes into the pilot: Scott Caan's "Danno" being sweet and adorable with his daughter. Was that mushy warm feeling my heart melting? Suspect this may be the case.
* 15 minutes into the pilot: oh. oh my. oh my oh my. Grown men. Guns. Damn, these two have... uh-oh... chemistry.
* fights the urge because I already have multiple slash OTP's that own me. No time no time no time.
* wonders how much Steve/Danny slash is out there. Surely there's got to be some. Rule #37 of the internet, right?
* men establish alpha dominance with an armlock and a surprise!punch (why is that so hot? why? But it IS, omg)
* Steve McGarrett takes off his shirt at the beach (squee! tattoos!) while Danny watches him with a dash of not-entirely-platonic appreciation
* FIGHTING URGE: no time no time no time
* distracted by Kono, because OMG GUH. Unf.
* realizes once he's out of the goofy security uniform and being a BAMF that Daniel Dae Kim is also hot like burning
* Steve and Danny gunfight. Bicker. Banter. Display undeniable and riveting chemistry. Give each other hugely goofy grins.
* episode concludes with Steve giving Danny the gift of a weekend pass to a fancy hotel so Danny can treat his daughter. heart. melted.
* accepts that the slash damn well writes itself on this show, doesn't it?
* gives in to the inevitable... and discovers the Hawai'i Five-O category on AO3
One season pass on iTunes, about three weeks of stolen precious hours of sleep paid for with bleary-eyed mornings, and still MORE weeks going by before remembering to make a post about this I can only describe my experience like so:
