They've been driving for hours on end, hell, for days on end even. They're last pit stop was somewhere in Minnesota, and even that was only long enough to stretch their legs, silent in the dim morning light, and to switch seats. Most of the drive has been silent too.

Though maybe not as awkward as it might have been.
