Still alive, and hey, Fringe Festivals are coming up, aren't they?

And yet again, I realize that I haven't posted anything for the past five days. Amazing how I no longer feel a need to devote whole LJ posts to rants and geekery about things to a varied group of individuals who might or might not care when I have a Henchgirl right here ( Read more... )

On your way out of Indianapolis, you might want to take a slight detour through Elkhart, IN to see the Hall of Heroes Super Hero Museum.

Or check out their Facebook page

I'm told if you call ahead and make an appointment, the curator will dress up as a superhero for your tour. You'll have to check with him to see which suits he has. I know for sure he's got Flash, Green Lantern and Captain America.

I am saddened that none of those shows are close enough for me to see them. It also sounds like any visits may have to be saved for the fall.

They will indeed, I fear. We're coming upon an absolutely insane two months. That said, we (possibly all three of us) shall be heading north to New York Comic Con in the Fall, which would be an ideal time for us to swing by your way.

A lot of people love to bandy about the word "brave" when describing some performances, usually because it involves nudity or playing a rapist or something. Ashely Judd has gotten a lot of shit over the years, but she delivered one of the most honest-to-god brave performances I have ever seen in a film, and she pulled it off powerfully. That last scene could have been laughable camp disasterfodder in most other actresses hands, but she rose to the goddamn challenge.

Yeah, missed you too! Blast. Argh. Have you been to Hamilton? How is it? I've heard a couple things there that make he hesitant to drink the water.
