Children of Mana isn't horrible for a post-Secret of Mana Mana game. ^o^ You know what I mean. It's so pretty--pixel art and music and waaaai. The story's a bit standard, but good enough (especially 'cause it's a direct sequel to the new Dawn of Mana.... and I actually really like Dawn of Mana ^^). I like the gem system for customizing your attributes too.

They are SO CLOSE to having a FULL Mana game again, if only they would have a WORLD TO WALK IN! Less repetition! Why the friggin' hell can't we walk about on a map again? 'Call Flammie when we need him? It makes me sad, 'cause while I liked Children, it was only missing that one thing that I would have loved it for.

ALSO, DEVIL SUMMONER IS LOVE! It's my first SMT game too (I mean, I've since gone back and found some of the older games, but I'm playing this one first). Sadly, I haven't had time to any play games lately, so I'm still on chapter 3-- but it is such a fun, low-key sorta game. Very addictive and unique. I hope you like it too~

I really need to get my hands on Dawn when i can. I've got every other Mana game XD I like Children so far except for the dungeon crawling. It's slowly driving me insane having to beat bosses over and over and over again >.< I want my Secrets back where i can run around and beat on things and where i'm forced to level -every- weapon and -every- elemental.

I am -dying- to get my hands on DDS1 but i can't find it anywhere >.< Every game store hasn't seen it in months and months and ebay's usually expencive.

I'm looking forward to DS though. I was wandering around the little maunal and squeeing XD

Go to Dud services and sign up for some jobs. It'll send you to the same places, but at least the dungeons randomize and have different enemies/swag then. When you just replay the initial dungeon with the boss, it's the same every time.

Yeah, I played thru the whole game without bothering to use elementals. They're pretty useless. ^^; Kinda sad, considering that's the point of Mana games.

I was lucky enough to find a cheap mint condition copy of DDS2 in a store, so going online to buy the more expensive DDS1 ended up balancing it out so I didn't feel so bad. ^^ Now Nocturne, THAT'S a pricey damn game no matter how you swing it.

I'll have to do that next time i play, probably in a few hours >.>;

Yea. I picked whisp to go with me originally for the healing and, well, i can't make her heal me XD i've managed to do it once and it's never worked again. Otherwise so much stuff drops gumdrops that i should have just gone with Salamando or Shade like i usually do.

I am kicking myself that i didn't pick up Nocturne when i worked at EB. We had it and it was less than $20. I almost feel bad about buying DS since i'm suppose to be saving for college classes
