I went to see Local H, the Giraffes, the Revolution Smile, and the Outline at the Knitting Factory tonight. That's the last I'll mention of the latter two bands, because they're both forgettable -- Revolution Smile is ripping off Failure big time and the Outline, well, they're a slightly boring opener

I saw Local H a couple of years ago, only knowing 2 songs that they managed to get on Clear Channel dominated radio around here.

Damn, they were surprisingly good. I think this was right after the drummer switch as well. Really, really awesome. Glad to know they're still around and putting out a decent show.

They're brutally loud, too. The feedback is starting to go away only just now.

You have to admire a band that refuses to phone it in, despite all the dumb shit that's happened to them.
