Here we sit, anxiously awaiting tomorrow's flight, which will carry us back across the Atlantic to the good ol' USA. Morale is high, energy is low, and our reflections on all our adventures thus far are fond. However, I'd better write up a report on our adventures in Venice before we start our journey back!

Yesterday, our last day in Rome, our group embarked on a culinary adventure as we were given a special cooking lesson in one of Rome's many restaurants. It was a full but exciting day, as we learned how much prep work goes into some of our favorite dishes.

Hello all! I give my sincerest apologies for the delay in writing- we've had several very full days of touring here in Rome, and while it's been exhausting, it's been fun as well!

Our first day in Rome we spent 3 hours on a walking tour in the morning, and saw a lot of the city's highlights!

This is just a quick update to let you all know that we're set to bid Egypt farewell today and fly to Rome, Italy!
We'll be spending 3 days in Rome before setting off for Sorrento, so I look forward to updating you on all that excitement once we get there.

Day 7 was full of adventure! We started out with a visit to the Aswan dam, and then to another temple located on an island in the Nile, near the dam. We had to ride a motorboat to get there!

Today we were up bright and early, and off to two more temples! The first was Edufu- while Carnac is the largest temple complex in Egypt, Edufu is the largest free-standing temple in Egypt.

My sincerest apologies for the lateness of this post, but getting Internet connection on this boat is a major hassle. If there's not one problem, there's another, and the people at the desk- who have to turn on the router for it to work- are difficult to work with.
