Oh wow, the back and forth here just builds the tension so wonderfully.

The last two paragraphs are perfect, but especially: And in the end, when love is victorious, he’ll discover a joy that even he never knew existed.; it being so huge even for him just says so much about everything between them...

Great job, C!

Isn't it wonderful to think that even Booth - for all his belief in the wonder of love - that even he will be swept off of his feet by something so powerful that he never saw it coming? *sigh*

And I'm glad that you enjoyed the back and forth. I wrote the Booth perspective this morning after I got up because I couldn't sleep from thinking about it! But it just needed more, so I added Brennan in later. I'm glad they meshed well.

((HUGS))

So glad someone else shares my conjecture that Brennan was the one who knew first!

I do! Mayhem just clinched it for me. But this episode proves it, IMHO. If Booth fell in love with her during his dream (of course, I really subscribe to the theory that he realized that the emotion he felt was love), then Gordon Gordon observed Brennan being the one that was struggling with her emotions on a daily basis. And of course, we saw Sweets reiterate that he was able to see what GG saw. So that means that two professionals observed Brennan in love, not Booth. Of course, he's always loved her, he just never stopped to think that love was what he felt.

Wow - that was rambling! Anyway, I am glad that you liked it. =)

I think also that had it been Booth, he would have been confident enough in himself pre-coma to do something about it. Whereas we know perfectly well that Brennan has some intimacy issues, and I would be surprised if she was still stuck on Booth's comment from the Man in the Cell about people working in high-risk jobs not dating. Plus, way better television--having Booth figure it out first is just too easy dramatically.

Holy, wow. This is so perfect. I like the switching of the perspectives. Fantastic!

I love this the best:
"She will learn that love is a more powerful force than pain. That hope can spring from destruction. That the capacity of the human heart is far beyond her comprehension as nothing else in life has ever been."

Booth is so wrapped up in their relationship as he sees it that he really doesn't see it for what's actually happening. Same with Brennan.

This line really captured me, and while I know that you found it to be inspired by the fic, I hadn't actually thought this way. Truly though, you really are correct. Booth (and Brennan as well) can't see the proverbial forest through the trees! I think what they need is a healthy dose of perspective.

HH - can we have a helping of perspective please, k? Thx much.

I'm glad that you liked this. Are you at all feeling a authorial inkling? *hint hint nudge nudge* I need my fix you know... ;-)

Thank you for the comment, it made me smile (as usual!).
