It's so hard to even know where to begin when it comes to Cas. He's one of my most favorite characters ever, in any show. He's fascinating, complex and mysterious at some level, and always evolving. I love all versions of Cas - smiting all-powerful angel Cas, rebel Cas, confused Cas, crazy Cas, evil god Cas, human Cas - all of them are fascinating

I agree completely, a powerful being like Cas having this connection with Dean, who always seems to think he doesn't deserve anything--it does my heart good. I think you finally put into words why I love shipping angel Cas with Dean. You totally got inside my head. :D Thank you.

OMG, that "peace or freedom?" question in the car was so powerful, it has stayed with me ever since. Beautifully done, and sad, too, because Dean will never have peace, will he?

And every time Cas gets protective over Dean (and Sam) it makes me wibble.
