I will probably continue onwards with the Temeraire series. Peter Jackson picked up the option on it so we may see a movie of dragons fighting in the Napoleonic Wars.

if you're grooving on the Temeraire books, you might want to take a look at the Patrick O'Brian Aubrey-Maturin series next. Novik admits freely that Temeraire is her attempt to rewrite Aubrey-Maturin with dragons. i'm not usually into historicals, but i think of them as science fiction where the ships are powered by a technology called "wind".
