Fathers of the year

You know how the cliche is that fathers are incompetent, and if you leave them alone with the kids, they'll immediately get into all kinds of trouble? Turns out there's some truth to that.

You skipped the part where I burst out laughing as soon as I heard, and wound up on the floor in the doorway because I was laughing so hard. I think I get at least an honorable mention for Mother of the Year.

Whew! Because once the word "sheepish" was used, and it seemed everyone was ok, I was very entertained. In a cartoon-style, I could picture the two fathers rushing around, then wondering how exactly to present the information. (Umm... Brie...Kendra the kids sort of escaped by bouncing out the window) I'm very glad everyone is fine. Poor dads-- I hope this is the worst thing the kids have to poke fun at you about when they are old enough to hold you accountable.

Yeah, I commented to Geoff that my position was much more fun than his. Not having to worry about whether everyone was okay, because they clearly were, and getting to just see the humor in the situation.

Now we've both have 'kids' fall through window screens. Fortunately the one who chose to do so from a second story window was ours! ;->

And to think, Ben and I always make fun of those warning labels on the window screens that say, "Do not let your child lean on this screen, they might fall out!" ;)

I'm glad they were both fine! That would have given me a heart attack on the spot! Though, I may need to calm down a bit before having kids... :o)
