I agree with all the points you have here, but since you leave open a perfectly good soapbox, I do have a few related things to add. One thing that I'm sure you understand perfectly well, but not everyone does, is the concept of the infringement upon private property

This is all, of course, very true. And I don't have a problem with it if it's the 'owner' or some property telling up we cannot wear it, that IS their right.
I'm more talking about individuals who seem to think that on public domain or in situations where otherwise it is NOT within their rights to demand things of anyone, it's fine to tell people what they can or cannot wear. Or who otherwise make the argument that it's just 'wrong' and if you think otherwise you are ignorant/stupid/whatever( yeah, so there ARE some people that fit one of those, but that's not all of us).
And of course I simply find it entertaining that people freak out of a -symbol- that has no meaning other than what we give to it.
