For those who are fans of Roald Dahl's books here is an interesting article from the New Yorker. I loved his books as a child no matter what those anti-Dahlists say. My favourite was The Witches, which I remember staying up late into the night reading, then having to sleep with the light on for months there on. Not that much has changed since...

Yes I couldn't believe it and I had reason to! The New Yorker, Wikipedia and I all agree that he was British through and through.

When i was a kid, my favourite book ever was The BFG. I love Roald Dahl SOOOOO much. Thanks to my year 3 teacher who was obsessed with him and forced me to read every book of his I could find.

oh! and the time I read the BFG in one night when i was 8 and none of my teachers would believe i did it, so I had to have an interview with one of the teachers to prove I'd read the whole thing.

I loved the BFG too! After reading it I spent a couple weeks trying to talk like him and was almost sent to ESL classes! I believe you read the BFG in one night but I hope your teachers gave you an apology!
