Ooh, thanks for de-anoning! You had such a wonderful concept and elegant phrasing, and you used one of my favorite bits of The Little Prince. I really enjoyed this!
Thank you so much for complimenting me on this fic! It was such hard work so I feel very, very happy that you enjoyed it in the end! :) Btw, the quote was one of my favourite parts of The Little Prince, too! It contains so much truth about human relationships. :)
ps - I think I've figured you out - you're Nicholas Sparks, amirite? :D
Oh, if you're not, I hope I haven't offended you - I know some people don't like being compared to other authors, even when it's meant as a compliment.
Thank you! I actually wrote over 900 words and the story wasn't nearly finished, so I took out a chunk to share. I will hopefully be finishing the tale and posting at a later date.
I always have to trim down too. Sometimes it makes the fic better - tighter - but sometimes it's too sparse and confusing. Only recently has it occurred to me I could just put in a portion of the story!

And no, I'm not Nicholas Sparks, but I am blushing at the compliment! ♥

I voted for 32 and 11 on the third place winner... and 29. Anybody want to claim that one? I loved it, so much!
But lots of other numbers on my short list. So I'd love to know what everybody wrote. :)
I'll deanon for 1 with detective Sally.

I wrote the screenplay version of dinner, (15?) that's what happens when you spend all weekend watching Python and scrambling for a last minute entry.
