Honestly, are you all done being cursed to act like idiots? As if all princes and princesses do is run around and get captured and free each other or any number of ridiculous things everyone was doing yesterday ( Read more... )

I'd rather sit through the boring ceremonies and argue with the court ministers than have it be like that.

If it meant that the greatest concerns for my kingdom were rescuing a princess in a tower, I would gladly trade the real duties of a prince for what I saw yesterday.

Would you really... I know running a kingdom can be a pain but would you really want to listen to all that singing all the time?

If it meant I had time to listen to it because my kingdom was so safe I didn't have anything else to do? Yes.

I'm pretty sure no one came out of that curse believing that bunny rabbits sing backup in spontaneous musical numbers, too.

Good, because that's just unsettling.

And inaccurate, so bad all around.

Were you cursed to have animals help you with your chores or to randomly break out into song?

I found it quite agreeable that so many should find concern in the health of others. At the expense of authenticity, surely.

People don't need to be ridiculous to help others, I think most residents of the City are more than helpful enough without being cursed with such ridiculous misconceptions of what it's like to be a prince or princess.

Were there no ridiculous people in the world, I should say it would be rather tiresome. Of course, should such humour be at the expense of those who are of a more serious disposition, it is quite a shame.

I suppose certain types of ridiculousness are not so bad in small doses.

Seen quite enough of those sorts of misconceptions in your lifetime, have you?

Honestly, no. I didn't know ridiculous beliefs like that existed until I came here. Usually it's a whole different set of misconceptions.

I think they come from old stories on Earth, but they're generally regarded as fiction - at least, that's what they are for most people I know of.

Ah? Like what?

People think that a king just sits around in their castle all day being waited on hand and foot. But a king doesn't exist to be served by his subjects, he exists to serve his subjects.

How do you choose the ones to receive grain from the ones to starve?

thefutureking June 11 2009, 01:30:27 UTC
It's based off of how many are in the household, what's causing the shortage, and what job they have.

By need, then?

Yes, although unfortunately sometimes it's based on strategic need.
