Is there anyone else I'm close with that would like to confess that they've been lying to me? Anne, you're not secretly one of those robot things, are you? Morgana, are you actually some powerful enchantress ( Read more... )

An enchantress? Are you from the Related Worlds, then?

I have no idea what those are, really.

I'm Arthur Pendragon, Crown Prince of Camelot.

If you're from one of them and your world has got magic, you'd know the Related Worlds, surely.

Does this mean if they are not close to you then it does not matter?

Caspian, I am very much not in the mood for questions like that right now.

I am only asking because if it does matter then it isn't such a ridiculous thing, is it? You want to be taken seriously.

What?

I don't-

I'm just tired of being lied to and finding out people aren't who they said they were.

One thing you can take from me is that it's best to forgive and forget.

Merlin lied to me, the entire time I've known him. And Cara turned out to be an evil sorceress that probably wants to kill me, my father, and possibly all of Camelot. It turned out you never cared for me beyond my title and Morgana doesn't want me to help her at all.

Some of that I can forgive and forget, but not all.

If I don't care about you I wouldn't bother apologizing.

Still, aren't you glad that you know now?

I know, I know. I just... I'm getting very tired of it.

Yes, but that doesn't make being lied to alright.

Once you two talk to each other, I know you'll be friends again. I know it.

All right.

But Arthur, that'd be KILLING them! I can't kill poor defenseless plants!

Why would you be worried about killing plants?

Plants feel pain too, you know! They have souls.

No, they don't. That's ridiculous.

I don't know what you're going on about, Arthur, but obviously you've gone mad.

Oh really? Merlin hasn't told you yet then that he does magic? And it turns out that Cara, a woman I thought was my friend and knew my mother from home, is really the sorceress that worked a magic spell that helped my father and mother have me. Only apparently to create a life, you have to take a life, and my mother died so that I could be born. Which, honestly, explains why my father always looks at me like he wished I had never been born. Also, apparently, that's why my father hates magic so much, because it took my mother away from him. Then, Cara who is really Nimueh, is attacking Camelot to get back at my father.

All the people my father has killed, are because I was born. All the people Nimueh has killed? Are because I was born. If I had never been born your father would still be alive. So would Gwen's. So would all the people that have died because of it. Camelot would be better off if I had never been born.

Don't say that. Don't ever say that. That's not true at all.
