Ok, that was awesome. I love Shannon, she manages to be my favorite character by being out of her depth and layered despite being shallow and you show this here very well. The last part kills me. Great job.

Really sad to think of her as being the only survivor. Especially Shannon, she seems so ill-equipped for being alone, as you say in the story. The last line is especially poignant.
