Redecorating

Because I don't have, you know, absolutely everything to do, I've decided to redecorate my living room. Well, the walls at least. I'm fucking sick of the posters taped to the wall above the couch. 1.) i'm a little sad that the theme will be interupted, but i suppose that marx bros AND making out is better than either marx bros or making out alone. and i am stoked that my snotty home decorating comment has been taken to heart.
2.) i'm gonna call you in a few minutes. if, you know, the phone works between here and canada - i don't think we've ever tried it!

Allan Williams and Kittie Carlyle are ALMOST making out in the A Night at the Opera poster, so it's kind of okay!

And yes, I seriously took that comment to heart. It makes a lot of sense. I remember the story that accompanied it, too: an ex-boyfriend or ex-roommate who was not allowed to hang his cheezy-ass Sopranos poster in the house unless it was framed. So he got an ugly cheap frame for it and somehow managed to make it worse. The other lesson of the story was: don't cheap-out on frames!

I don't know why this suddenly reminded me of Scum (well, OK - my thought-train was: dudes rapin one another in the showers in Oz --> rape in prison and prison-like settings --> Scum), but there's a great bit on the Little Britain DVD where some guy who makes musical versions of everything puts forth a proposal for a musical version of Scum and he sings this little, "Don't go into the greenhouse!" ditty. It was awesome.

Apropos of a few things, but mostly apropos of nothing.
