Pegasus Awards

Well, I decided that if I'm serious about being in the filk community, I should vote on the Pegasus Awards, even if the likelihood of me actually going to OVFF is slim to none. The "LJ icon thing" -- assuming you mean things like mdlbear -- is coded as

I'm glad to see you agree with me on "Ship of Stone" and Cindy, which are the two I really care deeply about this year. I've been trying for years to get "Ship" on the ballot.

Yes, that's it. I knew that it wouldn't be all THAT hard to find, but I'm basicly lazy, so thanks.

AS for Ship of Stone and Cindy, I mean it when I said I don't see any other vote being possible in that category. It may be meaningful only for those of us who remain -- I mean Cindy has other things on her mind right now, assuming an afterlife -- but I feel that the community owes her some (more) recognition.

Figured it was. I don't see any other possible vote, either.

I'm leaning toward "X-Libris" on torch songs in part because it fits my definition of a torch song better than "Sex & Chocolate" or "Po' Boys" -- they're in the torch song style, but they're not about "carrying the torch" for someone in particular.

In a similar vein, the only two "battle songs" that really fit my definition are "March of Cambreadth" and "No Quarter"; I'm leaning toward the latter. The others describe battles, but they're not the kind of thing you sing going into battle.
