S'gettin' cold. The Scientists told me a while back they'd take care of everything come winter, but maybe we'd better prepare anyway. Jenny, you got enough blankets and stuff? Maybe we should go get you 'n Aqualad warmer clothes, or something. Catching cold would suck.

It air does feel a little different today. I guess it's just about that time of the year... But why plunge into winter straight away? Fall is still a pretty long season, if this place doesn't go right for the snow anyway. Man, I hope not.

Eh, sometimes nature'll do that, I guess. Snow might be kinda nice, actually...we don't get a lot of snow in New York. Just doesn't stay on the ground long enough.

Glad I'm not the only one going nuts. Hm. Jenny found this note the other day in an empty coffin. It said something about missing shoes, and given what happened before I kind of have a bad feeling... The fact that we're hearing stuff around here again doesn't help me feel much better.

Can you understand it at all? To me it still sounds far away, and like a bunch of mumbling.

New York's my hometown. Born 'n bred. Been to some other cities too, Hong Kong, Miami, those places. It's funny how they all look the same.

...shoes? That's...weird. What's going on? Man, do you remember those chimeras? And that note scratched somewhere, "get out of my city" or something. This some kinda demented joke...?

...They sound like - some of them are happy to see each other. "How've you been" and stuff. And some old guy talking about the good old days.

I dunno. Some people've been here for a while, so they'd know...I bet any snow will actually stick around, though. Might be fun.

The weather was a little crazy back home--Mother Nature couldn't decide if it should be warm or cold. I guess this isn't bad, but I'm not looking forward to December. ...not that I'm planning to be here come December.

Pft, hope they don't mean me by "youngins". I've had enough of creepy crawlies. The new person's--some girl named Alice? I didn't worry much about it, there were already people going to help her.

Shania and I run a detective agency near Times Square. Well, I started it, and it's got my name on it, but Shania just became my partner so...huh, we should probably come up with a new name when I get back. And there's Lenny, too. He's my, um. Butler? Caretaker? Not that I've ever been...but, he's just been there ever since the accident.
