Waking up.

It seems to be time.Sometime in the night, the airman moves from his usual spot napping in the bedside chair to curling up in the bed beside Coreen. He tries to move as gently as he can, so as not to wake her

Coreen has grown accustomed to not having an adult body in bed with her; she's used to being able to turn in her sleep as much as she wants.

When morning comes, there's resistance on Joe's side of the bed. She blinks herself awake and looks over.

That wakes her up. "Oh god! Joe!" She squeals, loudly, flopping at him in a big hug.

"Mmmmph," is his terribly coherent response.

Hey, on his best days he isn't a morning person. Waking up after three months of sleeping? This is the best you can get.

Even so, it feels nice to be close to her.

She snuggles against him a little, fingers moving against his chest and neck.

"You're back," she says, leg draping over his.

"...so it seems," he says sleepily, peeking out from under the pillow and looking up at her. "It feels good to be back. It'll feel better when I'm awake... unless this is another dream?"
