Hank is still able to hold the door against Logan; Logan even comments on it, which suggests to me that the serum is only disguising his blueness and not actually affecting his powers. The serum Charles is taking has been altered to heal his spine and legs, which is not its' function, hence blocking his powers. I think in the form Hank is using it it's just cosmetic. Opinion please? It's really important to the fic! And I will come back and talk about my THOUGHTS and FEELINGS when it's not late at night. :D

I do think Raven was a better character in this one, but I like women who either make their own decisions or there's a good reason for them following someone else's.
This movie is a lot about what Charles has lost - control, power, influence - and you can see him gaining some humility that comes across better in his older self than in his 1960s version.
My favorite bit for the 'shipper in me was Erik tilting the plane and sending Charles flat on his back having to listen to his tirade after their argument; there's something about the supine pose and their attitudes that is just really fic-worthy.
The thing I didn't expect to like, and really did, was the scenes with Quicksilver. In absence of Spider-Man being available to 20th Century or Marvel Studios, he nicely fills the voice of the smartass teenager for some comic relief. Plus, I like Evan Peters from "American Horror Story" already.
