Spoiler issues

Okay, so everyone and their dog has something to say about spoilers these days. People are too careful, people aren't careful enough, mentioning someone's name is a spoiler, mentioning someone's dog isn't a spoiler... whatever ( Read more... )

Course, then there's me and titles. I seem to have a mental block with titles (why yes, I do have a lit degree, which means there were lots of times on in-class finals where I'd be like, "the book with Catherine and Heathcliff." Okay, not QUITE that bad, but almost). But even I can manage to come up with a functional and non-annoying spoiler tag. Like "spoiler for the episode that aired in the US last week," or, "spoiler regarding character just being introduced in BSG." It's not *that* hard! And that's even though I like spoilers and choose to read them, and therefore do not have the whole avoidspoilerslikeplague mindset. Sheesh.

That's exactly what I was going to say - Say something like, "Spoilers for the 8.12.05 ep of BSG" or something. Really, you're right, it's not that hard... Why can't people get this?

Oh, wouldn't it be nice if people could actually label their spoilers?! Or, you know, change the subject line if they're adding spoilers into a discussion that's been carrying on on a mailing list? *sigh*

I'm with you -- I don't want to see ANY spoilers (this might be subject to change if Comcast was serious about making SciFi digital only...). And I'm about ready to march to TV Guide HQ and let them have a piece of my mind, because at least text spoilers I can generally skip over. This was a honking big photo and was IMPOSSIBLE to miss... GARRRRRRRGH!

I have been fleeing from the evil T.V. Guide. Apparently it's pretty bad.

Let's just say I opened the thing, and nearly flung it away (I'd say across the room, but I was outside the car at that moment, just walking out of the PO, so...).

Do you think they're not? I'm incredibly honked off at them right now.

considering my morning rant, I'm just going to drop in and say, that's totally the common sense thing to do.

Tell me what ep it spoils through, I'll step through the door if I want to.

Don't tell me, it's the "OMG Helo/Apollo Slash Fans Watch this EP! spoilers for "Toaster Humping Part One""
