For those of you who think the Back To School ads are coming on too early...

I am Back To School in 11 hours and 21 minutes.  I have officially flipped the alarm back on.  Oy.

• We have Very Special Dispensation to wear jeans tomorrow.  This is Highly Noteable given that our principal makes us wear 'school clothes' to inservice days and even on Field Days we can wear athletic clothes, but no jeans.

It's less that it's "too early" than that it's annoying that there are nation-wide sales labeled back to school NOW when in large chunks of the west school starts in September.I'm pretty sure it's Sept 7 here this year, so 7.5 weeks yet.

When it's ACTUALLY back to school time, the sales will all be a month ago. :\

Yeah, but I guess they figure they have to be out in front of the early schools on a national level. It's not like if you buy your notebooks and pencils now they'll be no good in 7.5 weeks. :)

Man, I can't believe you guys go back so early. Of course the kids here go back in August. My friend who teaches here is dreading the day.
