• I have officially had Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Verdict? I don't get it. It's a snowcone. Color me unimpressed. I would like to know how many they went through in that H50 episode with Kono and the kid whose dad didn't kill her mom. It's roughly Hawaii weather in Chicago right now - 85ish and humid - and mine melted in less than ten minutes ( Read more... )

This may even be a new one for Neadods, and I'm sure she's seen just about the worst of this crap...

Not new. Knew about this particular protest too; had I known you didn't, I would have warned you!

I know they're trying to make people Insanely Uncomfortable, and yeah it worked, but not in the way they wanted it to.As Eeyore and her kickline constantly remind me, it's not really about winning souls to the cause. It's about being proud of being loud, making people uncomfortable, making women feel unsafe and if the protesters get someone up in their grill about it? Hey, bonus martyrdom ( ... )

Feel free, no need to ask! But I always warn people - my signal to noise ratio is HIGHLY variable.

If you want more info specifically on me and anti-abortion protests, check my "orange line" tag. I'm a clinic escort.

Ugh. I'm not even in the US, and that pro-forced-birth movement scares the hell out of me! (I will not ever call them *pro-life*, because they are really not! D:)

With all the news lately it looks like the fanatics are succeeding in rolling back hard-won civil liberties all over the place... and I'm really worried that these days most women are just too busy trying to make a living (and in many cases, too apathetic to pay attention to politics) to prevent this from happening :(

And I just can't understand why so many people just don't pay attention to these matters. We all do still live in a rape-culture. And appearently feminist has become a slur. Again.

*cough* Sorry, stepping off the soapbox now. This whole topic is kind of a trigger for me! XD
