Ooh, where can I find it? *g* I'd like to listen, too (especially since I hated RCM with a passion - don't want to buy the album if I don't like the songs! XD!)
..."I haven't had this many problems decyphering some of the lyrics since I seriously thought the line in "Palomino" was "There'll be rice in Spain" in stead of "Help me rise again." Seriously, it took me ten years and THE INVENTION OF THE INTERNET to realize what the line really was."...
LOL! Not that anyone would blame you - Simon has written some seriously hinky lyrics before...and his diction does not make things any easier! XDD!
Hey child, stay wilder than the wind And blow me in to cry
Seriously, what the hell does that MEAN?
but the Rice in Spain thing... yeah. I think I may have gotten that album on audio cassette (before I owned a CD player) and there were no lyrics on the insert. The internet didn't come along for another decade or so, so there really wasn't a resource for going, "WTF dude?" (I had "The Book of Words" as a kid, but it was published after... I think, "A View to a Kill" Possibly "Wild Boys"... either way, it wasn't going to cover "Palomino."
Anyway... if you weren't keen on RCM, you may like this. It's very much NOT the techno-thing RCM was.
