It was a mistake for me to watch the Parks and Rec video -- I couldn't help laughing, and my co-worker noticed. Hah! At least my strict co-worker isn't here yet.

AGREED about Parenthood - it's one of my favourite shows right now, too! Very unhappy with one of the love storylines in the finale, though. :(

What is Happy Endings about? I've seen posts for that, but it never intrigued me. Is it like Friends With Benefits?

Let me guess, it must have been Sarah's storyline. Her storylines and decisions always suck.

Happy Endings is one of those "a group of friends around 30"-shows like Friends, Seinfeld, Coupling, Friends With Benefits, 100 Questions, My Boys, How I Met Your Mother et al, told in the fast-paced single-camera style of 30 Rock/Community/Arrested Development. They talk faster and with more pop culture references than a Gilmore Girl so you usually miss half the jokes. I love it as my no.1 go-for-broke sitcom where I don't care about the plots at all and just watch it to laugh.
One of the things it does better than every other show out there right now is its handling of its gay character, Max, who's the most normal, least stereotypical gay guy on TV (see this collection of scenes where the show contrasts him with a stereotypical flamboyant sitcom gay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBk1nq_HgDM).
Here's the trailer and here's a Salon article on the show's appeal.
