How do you solve a problem like the Simpsons?

After naming my favorite movies and albums I wanted to conclude my excessive list-making with a list of my favorite TV shows. It turned out to be most difficult. Take The Simpsons as an extreme example: The first ten (!) seasons are good to brilliant. I love them, I could watch them over and over. Because it was way too expensive and hardly anyone was watching it. (A lot of them are comedy and/or animation, so that doesn't surprise me.)

That does sound like a hard list to make. The Simpsons example is good - it was my veryfavorite show for a long time, but I haven't bothered to watch an episode in about 10 years. Sad.

It's scary that I can't hear the question "What time is it?" without shouting "ADVENTURE TIME!" in my head.

I stopped watching The Simpsons over a decade ago, shortly after their Florida-trip, but I started watching it again in Season 21. It's still not great, but not as bad as it used to be, mostly. There was one episode last year you simply have to see, 23x6 "The Book Job", guest-starring Neil Gaiman.
