A while back, I was talking with a friend about who we were in high school and he said "So you were Sarah Michelle Gellar from Cruel Intentions? Yeah, I get that about you."
Haha! I was none of those characters. I kept to myself, had my close bunch of friends, and just was nice and friendly to everyone. Then again I went to an all orthodox Jewish all girls school. Not too much drama goes on honestly.
The few people I'm in contact with from high school (most of whom I wasn't friends with IN high school), I ask them fairly often why anyone liked me. I was a horrific bitch! I still am, but I was WAAYYYY worse then, I've calmed down significantly. Scary thought.
I was just telling my neighbors 11 year old.. how awful kids are .. (keep with me here...) and basically how they are totally "id" driven. It's all about "me me me" and it's impossible to see beyond the self, and how they only do things that benefits them. Then I pointed out that there are some adults who never grow out of being an id-driven-child.
Yeah.. i was waxing philosophical with an 11 year old. I should not be allowed to do carpool.
Anyway.. that being said.. Teens are known to be vicious. That is how Cruel Intentions and this show work. It would be a lot less fascinating if they were adults, although John Malkovich was brilliant in Valmonte.. But the whole period thing is what made it work.
Anyway.. you were a teen in high school I presume, and thus your id driven self.. well it could be excused.
I did some terrible things in High School.. only 1 best friend still talks to me. The other doesn't.. So whileI wasn't a bitch per se.. I was pretty id driven.
And still... ME MEMEMEMMEMEMEMEMEEEEEEEEEEE. YAY! *laugh*
