Gee, wonder where the poor kid got her mental illness from!

I remember seeing a movie a little bit ago with Bai Ling in it kiiind of about this, but it had a more typical cinematic "I was just searching for youth" justification behind the killing/dumplingmaking.

Sounds like the woman used the same logic that her government used in conceiving of, designing and implementing the Three Gorges Damn complex... Asinine comes to mind on both counts. But, people will believe any lie for two reasons, either because they want it to be true, or fear that it is true.
