aww this is wonderful! I stopped counting how many times I've watched this movie! You did a great montage. I love the three parts structure (like a piano concerto ;) So beautiful! thank you for sharing! *downloading*
Well I actually went to a performance of 'The Normal Heart' in London in 1985 on the back of his performance. Tom was playing lead and was excellent. Funny not much of F Murray Abrahams either who was also stellar.
i'm not really a fan of the movie, but i love how you matched the movement in your vid to the music - i think it's really difficult to edit to classic music & make it look great. but you did just that :)
Thank you very much , if you enjoyed the vid (but not necessarily the movie) then I'm pleased :)
Yeah classical music can be tough, generally too long and not always enough shift in tone/pace to work with. I'm really pleased though that you thought it looked great :)
Goodness, I have no idea how I missed this being posted! I absolutely adore this movie and have seen it many times, but not so recently. Your video is completely and utterly wonderful and sailed me right back into one of my favorite movies.
You captured the flim superbly and I love how beautifully you used the three piano concertos to structure your vid story. You have a marvelous way of accenting a note or special nuance in the music with the perfect gesture or movement in your visuals, sometimes it's the tiniest of moments, but adds sooo much to the overall enthrallment, especially with a vid like this where there are such highs and such lows emotionally. You have some superb moments in the vid...I'd need to watch again to point them out but as I am at work I can't do it just now...but I so loved seeing the joy, the heady humor and the pain all rolled into such a beautifully edited piece.
Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham were so incredible and the film is just a joy to the eye, heart..and ear...as is your vid! :)
I am so pleased it gave you good memories - it is indeed a fabulous film. I still get very emotional at the final section where dying Mozart is finishing (not quite) the requiem with Salieri - I didn't use this as it didn't fit with the theme of the vid and wanted to avoid using that piece of music as it would just be a poor rehash of the wonderful movie.
Choosing the music was a little tough - finding something that can be edited down and I liked the idea of a three part beginning, middle and end concerto and wanted to leave it on an positive note. Anyhow thanks for spotting the internal motion - I like to make my clips dance ;) Good job the source is full of movement.
Thank you so much for such lovely detailed feedback, it really goes a long way and encourages me even more (can we blame you for the next vid ;) ) . Hehe!
I'm still new to these movie fan vids and always a little unsure on how they would be received, so thanks yet again.
