The reviews are great, aren't they! CAN'T WAIT. I've also been trying to get Barclays Front Row tickets but of course getting your hands on them is harder than winning the lottery. But can't complain since WE'RE GOING AHAHAH
I know - I just feel so fortunate. I've been priming my daughter to expect guts and gore so she'll cope. I will tell her not to watch the end I think.
What I love most about the reviews is everyone pretty much gets a decent mention. Nice to see the whole cast/crew getting love rather than singling out one performance and the rest are under par.
We went and booked Simon Russell Beales Lear for the half term at NT too and I really wished I'd committed to seeing Jude Law's Hen V - so much good stuff around right now.
It's a Very Shakespeare Christmas! If you can come down I think Henry V still has seats. (Haven't seen yet, going next weekend, slightly trepidous now after what happened at the Apollo and I'm up in the £10 balcony seats, eek.) I've also booked Lear for next year- on Valentine's day, in fact. I was saying there's naught so romantic as watching an old man ranting naked in the storm.
The reviews kept mentioning the shower scene and I was wondering how they were going to play it. Sadly, it looks like the trousers stay on...
I dunno sounds like a usual valentines day for me what with naked old man having a rant...
We were at the Noel Coward Theatre this summer but I think it's just been recently renovated so no danger or plaster bath there. Hope you enjoy Hen V - do tell all when you get time.
