Chapter 1:
His eyes fluttered open, catching sight of the older boy gazing straight at him.
“Ryosuke?” He blinked once. Twice, “O-ohayou…”
He bore that same contorted expression, the one he always had that puzzled the little one’s thoughts. Everyday he’d be like this, waking up only to see Yamada observing him.
He’d just stare, ever knowing, ever unreadable…
“Let’s prepare for school, shall we?”
---
He could only sigh at the warmth of hot water cascading down his physique. It felt such a relief to his aching muscles. Yuri stiffened though once the arms he became accustomed with enveloped him.
“Yuri,” A kiss.
“Hmmm?”
Yamada rested his chin on the boy’s shoulder, “Nothing…”
They stayed like that, surrounded by the silence that always lingered.
It deafened Yuri though, together with the millions of unanswered questions that piled up in his mind. What was this? What were they?
He could only close his eyes and snuggle to his embrace; he could use the sleep after surviving the older’s demanding rounds last night. Plus, he did feel sluggish lately as if his legs and limbs were of metal.
Unknown to Chinen was the small contented smile that spread across Yamada’s face.
---
Yuri surveyed himself in the mirror, noting the changes his body underwent. His complexion seemed paler together with his lips that used to be plump with redness. He also went down 2 sizes.
“Yuri,” he glanced to where the voice came from and found Ryosuke staring back at him. Is that disappointment he sees? “We’re going to be late for school.”
He shook his thoughts away, putting his clothes on, “I’m almost done.” It was impossible. Yamada held no emotions.
He followed his departing profile.
---
He bowed his head as he exited the Limo, avoiding the stares the students gave as they arrived their school. It was as if they were creatures they have not seen before every single day, their stares or even glares piercing right through him. It was given though. Yamada Ryosuke was wealthy and powerful aside from the fact that vampires bore enticing charm. He was also drop-dead gorgeous. Chinen should be used to all that by now, shouldn’t he? Afterall, he had been in this situation for as long as he can remember.
But why does he have to receive the same attention anyway? Why did he have to be part of the picture? What did he, Chinen Yuri, a mortal have to be equated to Yamada Ryosuke, a legendary public figure and vampire?
He was his “bride.” A mortal who would and should provide vampires blood to live on and also to satisfy his biological desires. That was what he was, a need, a necessity, yet of no importance other than that.
Chinen snapped his head up as the other held him close, his cold hands wrapping his, “Come on.”
The way he held him felt different. It was of protection, of possessiveness, to declare to the world what they were.
What were they, exactly?
Sometimes he wished Yamada didn’t confuse him this much.
---
“R-ryosuke s-sto-aaaah-“
Their P.E. class just ended and being the goody-two-shoes that Chinen was, he volunteered to return the Gym mats to the storage room. Little did he know that Yamada was following him and so they ended up lying down the gym mats, the older boy pinning Chinen down. Yamada swiftly undid his buttons, ignoring the feeble protests the other boy gave.
“But I need you. Now.” He lunged down his neck, giving his favorite spot a slow sensual lick; the younger one’s groans sounding like melodious music to his ear.
“Please, you can have all of me at home, just n-not-“ It was too late, the older boy had already helped himself.
He could only stay stunned on his spot as the other practically sucked the life out of him. He was slowly going numb, his eyes too giving up on him. With his hazy vision, Chinen could make out Yamada, his features thirsty for him. He was already too weak for this yet he kept on ravishing him, his hands trailing down his bare torso. It seemed as though an eternity passed before Yamada finally stopped. He sat up, wiping the blood that dripped down his lips.
“That was refreshing. Stand up and let’s go home. I want more.”
It took Yamada up to the door until he noticed his prey wasn’t following. Anger rose up within him, “CHINEN YU-“
He saw him rasping for his breath looking literally lifeless. At that time, he had no strength left. He had only control of his eyes and so he gazed up to him as though he was in a daze.
“I-I h-have no stre-ahh-ngth left…” and everything went black for him.
Yamada clicked his tongue. Out of worry? Of disappointment? Who knew. He approached the inert figure lying down the mattress and gave his pale cheeks a soft touch before he carried him on his back.
As they reached the car, Yamada continued to cradle him in his arms, doing so all throughout the ride back home.
