Prologue
Chapter 1
“Yuri,” her breath hitched instinctively at the sound of his voice.
His voice. Her name. H-how did he-
“You left this back at the library.”
He stifled a laugh noting her puzzled features, “We were schoolmates since junior high school.”
Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. How come she didn’t know any of this?!
“Morimoto-kun, thank you,” She flashed the notebook, “for this….”
The boy showed a sheepish grin and she could only tilt her head to the side. The pink that decorated her cheeks dyed crimson though at the realization. Her Hey! Say! JUMP notebook…
“I-It’s n-not what… I mean I-I-Its….”
Ryutaro chuckled, a hand waving, “It’s okay. I just… didn’t expect you to be a fan…”
Her head snapped up to face him, “Is that a bad thing?”
“It’s…” his lips formed a smile, “heartwarming… thank you.”
She could only bow back. Ofcourse Yuri knew how idols work. Trained and re-modeled for years to be these faultless little robots who do and sat exactly what they should. And yet she couldn’t stop herself from bowing down to them.
Without the sparkled and blinding camera lights though, Morimoto Ryutaro felt… normal to her. More like a friend actually. So when he turned to take his leave she had the sudden urge to say something.
Anything.
“Hey! You’re good in dancing… and stuff….” Real smooth Yuri, Real smooth.
The idol turned back to her, lips heaving a smile.
And it looked absolutely genuine; contrast the idol mentality she always had. Her whole body turned numb at his smiling face. All Yuri could feel were her emotions’ uproar.
That was the day she learned idols are humans too,
Well, atleast a certain someone is. And that was enough for her.
