A Regular Decorated Emergency [Incomplete/Abandoned]

Setting: Hospital Room
Time: Early Day 007
Summary: Itachi goes to the hospital room to rest, medicate, and find out what the hell is going on. He finds a small, rose crystal... (EDIT: as of 5/5) This log has been abandoned as incomplete, as Itachi ended up going to the Projector Room in a different log. His meeting with Leo in the Room is 'canon,' but disregard them leaving it. Thank you.

Itachi flipped open the small waterproof case he kept at the bottom of one of the pockets of his cloak, which was currently draped over the nearby heart monitor, the constant low-level flatline tone cutting the silence like a dull knife. There were a dozen obnoxiously bright yellow pills (colored that way so as to improve their visiblity) nestled in the case, as well as three small syringes, each filled with a clear liquid. Each pill was one day's worth of normal strength medicine, specially formulated to help regulate his chakra and stifle his unusual condition. The syringes each had a concentrated version of the same medication, two days' worth in one shot. For emergencies. For when his time started to run short.
Itachi selected one pill and popped it into one cheek. Pausing for a moment to work moisture into his dry mouth, he dry-swallowed and prayed he wouldn't throw it back up again, as he had begun to do lately with alarming, increasing regularity.
Fortunately, it seemed his body was too exhausted to even do that. Itachi lay down on the sterile white bed for a moment, aching and exhausted. He was so tired, he barely noticed when the flatlining monitor next to him suddenly began beeping slowly, mimicking the beating of his own heart.
