Leo might not find any more notes laying in the room, but he might have noticed a familiar face entering the room. Saya had spent a decent amount of time exploring the new areas and the corpses that went along with them. The ones in the previous room were particularly interesting. A mass suicide...with the maids that had hung in their hallway the other night, that seemed to be rather common in the house. How strange...
Any bad mood that might have been forming immediately disappated as she saw the room's other occupant. "...Leo?" But that was impossible. She'd seen him...seen the hellhounds drag his corpse off and drag it off and..and then she realized that he was and Zetsu too...and she'd been trying so hard to accept that, but...but here he was. Standing right in front of her. She didn't care that it was impossible, she didn't think about how it was, she just smiled broadly and moved to tackle the poor beastman and cling to him without any intention of letting go anytime soon. "Leo! You're here...!"
Leo had just put the note in his pocket for safekeeping when he noticed Saya and smiled. So she was all right, after all. He had just opened his mouth to ask the girl if she was alright when he found himself being tackled by her. The beastman blinked for a few moments, surprised at this turn of events, before giving the girl an awkward hug, patting her on the head. "I'm alright," he reassured her, an arm around the girl's small shoulders, "and I'm glad to see that you are as well."
Saya seemed content to cling to the beastman for the moment, tilting her head back to stare up at him with wide green eyes. She smiled to the pat on the head, obviously fond of being shown attention and nodding. The house was scary at night and the things those ghosts had put in here were continuing to bother her, but she endured~ She didn't have much choice but to do so, it was either that or let herself be devoured by the monsters. Still, Leo...she'd seen him the other night, hadn't she? She'd seen the absence of life in him, seen those dogs drag his corpses and drop it on the elevator...
"But Saya saw Leo last night and...and he didn't look well at all!" There was a definite concern, both in her voice and on her face. She was happy to see him doing well, but that didn't mean she'd forgotten what she'd seen. How could she?
Another arm wrapped awkwardly around Saya, and Leo looked down at the girl evenly. What had happened? He could practically smell the change in her; something about her now seemed almost dangerous. He had been alone when he'd lost consciousness before, and he hadn't heard anyone call out his name. The Destroyer was said to hold the guise of an innocent. The thought sprang unbidden to the beastman's mind for some strange reason, but he refused to let it take hold. Still, perhaps Saya, with this strange scent lurking around her, was dangerous as well.
He frowned at the girl's statement. "I got injured last night," said Leo, his eyes closing as he remembered the little girl from the night before. "I'm feeling better now, Saya, so you don't need to worry."
Saya had always been dangerous, it came with being...whatever she was. An intelligent monster. A creature with all the instincts and desire to kill humans, to replace them as the dominant species. She'd just pushed it away up until now, had done her best to pretend she was human and bury away the bad thoughts, lying to herself and everyone else even more by claiming normalcy.
It never changed the facts, though, and she was rapidly starting to accept who and what she was more fully. That was dangerous in itself, but Saya herself probably didn't even realize it. It was too smooth, too natural of a progression to seem odd.
She frowned a little herself as he told her there was no need to worry, wondering if that really was true. Any sort of injury didn't seem as though it were something that should be simply disregarded, even in a place like this. Especially not when the end result was those dogs dragging the body away...she wasn't quite ready to drop the issue, not just yet. "How did Leo get injured, though?"
