Characters: Lorenzo Belli, Zetsu Setting: Corner Bedroom, moving? Time: Day 005, morning-ish? Summary: Lorenzo and Zetsu get the opportunity to catch up. Warnings: Lorenzo and Zetsu. :|
Lorenzo leaned away as he noticed Zetsu extending his hand. He wasn't too keen on the idea of someone, anyone touching him or working on him in any manner. Zetsu's means were less invasive than most, but still worrisome enough to where he would move away, although it wasn't much. He just didn't have his usual stamina. "...mm? Yes, fine." He felt ill, but said nothing in regards to that. There just didn't seem to be any reason to. "Nothing really." That wasn't too far from the truth. His current state made it hard to do much of anything, of course, and for the most part had given up on trying after Zetsu had initially forced him to give in and rest.
For the moment, Zetsu ignored Lorenzo's discomfort in favor of the greater good of his well-being, closing the distance to press a hand against him to carry on with the healing anyway. "Nothing." Zetsu echoed, sounding a little incredulous. "I bet." He was starting to sound and look a little like Zetsu remembered himself to be, after spending such a long time in the Maids' Quarters without food. And the kitchen had been all messed up last night, but Lorenzo's room had been locked, so there was no way he could have reached any food stores. Why not eat monster, though? Maybe that was just too gross a proposition to him, though he doubted it. Or maybe it was too dangerous. Or....
Hell, he didn't know. He only knew one thing, and that was that the kitchen was just fine now, so Lorenzo clearly needed a pick-me-up. He gave the elder alchemist a beckoning gesture, clearly expecting to be obeyed. "Come on, get up. We're going downstairs."
Lorenzo visibly tensed as Zetsu worked on closing the distance, finding himself forced to simply resign to the healing. He said nothing in response to his first statements, opting to stare off into the distance. He hadn't done much of anything, that much was true, but he wasn't above eating monsters, but there'd been...complications to come with that suggestion. Alphonse had been object to the idea and he hadn't wanted to let the kid out of his sight (subsequently, anything that was edible was forced upon him) and even when he had he'd been too panicked to think of it and...well, after seeing both of his kids kidnapped (and being forced to remain still by Zetsu) it'd been dismissed as a disastrous idea. Easier to just wait it out rather than risk killing himself
( ... )
"We're going to the kitchen to get you something to eat; the food isn't spoiled now. Up." Zetsu gestured impatiently. Prolonged lack of food made Lorenzo stupid and sluggish, clearly--not that it didn't make him that way too, but he wasn't the one who was facing starvation and malnourishment right now. He leaned against the wall, looking down at the older man. "I'll cook you something if you can't stir yourself enough to manage. What do you like?" They said you could lead a horse to water, but you couldn't make him drink--obviously, they had failed to coin the axiom that said you had to drag an alchemist to the kitchen, cook for him, and put the damned fork into his hand before he would eat. Typical stubbornness.... Why was he surprised?
"Mm, is it back to normal?" He asked, but made no effort to move. Prolonged lack of food did make him stupid and sluggish. For as necessary as it was, the fact that he'd been downing pills that were only meant to be taken when serious injuries occurred for three weeks straight hadn't helped that matter any. Lorenzo waved his hand, obviously dismissing the idea of Zetsu making something on his account - honestly, there was no need for that. "Eh...I'll take care of it later." There were more important things to consider for the moment. Better things to focus on than forcing himself up again and dealing with the matter of the kitchen and...oh, there was that, too, wasn't there? "How'd it go, anyway?" He didn't bother specifying that he was referring to Zetsu's apparent rescue efforts. That was important right now. Definitely important.
