Jack was, suffice to say, a bit confused. He had died last night, he knew that very clearly--for that matter, he had died twice. What was he supposed to think of that? It was.... unsettling, really. He was a skeleton, after all, and lived in Halloween Town; he was friends with a great deal of dead, undead, and unliving people. Hell, he was one of those, though he wasn't entirely sure which. How could he have died? And moreover, how could he have woken up both times, as good as new and feeling fine? It seemed.... well, awkward. The first time (presumably) he had died, he had wound up in Halloween Town, though that was mere speculation--he honestly didn't remember anything before coming there. So shouldn't he have gone elsewhere, if he actually had died

Sorry!]]The sound of Jack's voice got to her before the sight of him did, and Ichigo turned away from the door towards him, briefly flooded with relief that someone else was here, someone that sounded nice, someone who could probably help her. When she did finally register that it was a skeleton in a fine suit speaking, she froze, giving him a moment or two to pet her before she gave a squeak of fear and darted away, fur fluffed out and pressed against the unresponsive door

Jack made a soft sound of sympathy, understanding but still a little displeased as the kitten mewled, fluffed up in fear, and darted away. It was hard to be in a new place, wasn't it? Especially if you were so young and defenseless! The poor thing must miss her mother.... Was that someone calling him, though? That certainly wasn't his name, but he turned to look anyway, smiling as he saw Shinji--facing the boy fully, his skull's inhuman features could be clearly seen. "I'm afraid not! Just who is Kaworu, if I may ask?" The skeleton couldn't help but be a little confused at the speed with which the kitten rushed towards Shinji, wondering if perhaps she was more comfortable with younger people

"Ah... If you're hungry, I can find something in the kitchen for you." He said to the kitten, smiling a little after it ran into him, and he bent down to pet it. It was... so soft, and warm - he had almost forgotten what this was like. Living things.

"I'm afraid not! Just who is Kaworu, if I may ask?"

"K-Kaworu was..." He looked up. And saw a skeleton. A moving, talking skeleton. Shinji backed away, trembling with fear - was this, a monster? A... he hadn't seen any monsters so far in the daytime, besides that... much less ones that could talk. It - it had seemed friendly, but that was a trick. If he let down his guard...
