She just had no luck tonight. She'd been trying to use the oven, but instead had been greeted by the burnt man she'd seen in the grand room. She'd been able to avoid being grabbed for the second time tonight. She'd hoped to run into the hallway, with some luck she could always dodge past the mother's ghost, but an unfortunate wrong turn had landed her here. She spun around almost instantly, telling herself it was fine that she'd reached this dead end, she could probably dodge him when he ran in for the kill before and just aiming for the hallway once more ( ... )

"You. Little girl," Papillon said silkily, the gunpowder butterfly in his palm hovering close to her. "Who are you? Are you responsible for bringing me here?"

He grinned, showing feral teeth that shone eerily in the light of her flashlight. Behind him were his outstretched butterfly wings, the sizzle as they burnt at the ends hissing in the silence.

The catsuit-glad man strutted closer to her, his hand still upon his hip. He was impatient, and he wanted answers.

"Where am I?" he demanded of her, the small black butterfly hovering close to her hair. His eyes were as black as coal in the darkness.

Mio spun around upon hearing him addressing her, a perplex look crossing her face. Judging by his reaction, he was a new arrival and a cranky one at that...

"Mio Amakura and I didn't...I've been trying to find a way out." She stumbled back at the sight of the butterfly, admittedly a little frightened. Butterflies were one of the few things she had an aversion to anymore.

Collecting herself, she shook her head, "Nobody I've met knows exactly where this is, but the trend seems to be tripping before falling here, and..." She looked around, seeming to become more nervous, "...at night spooky things start to appear."

The exorcist braced herself, hoping for the best and expecting the worst reaction in response to her explanation, in spite of it being the truth.

"Mio Amakura," Papillon breathed. He listened to her explanation, his amused, sardonic grin not leaving his pallid lips. She looked frightened, and he could smell her fear. However, it was not just a fear of him--clearly, listening to her words, and looking around, it was the fear of the house itself.

"So," he drawled, jutting his hip out. "No one knows where we are. No one knows why we're here."

A flip of his short, black hair, and a scoff. "Idiots. And are you all mortal here that you fear monsters? Are you running from one?"

Again, his smile was ominous, pernicious, foreboding. "I am probably more frightening than anything you will find here."

He paced closer. "No one interferes with the Papillon's business, Mio Amakura."
