After the two long months they'd spent together in the house, Marth felt most secure in the young goatherd-slash-hero's presence. Perhaps it wasn't saying too much as Marth was a trusting sort of man already, but he believed that he could leave his life in Link's hands with the utmost confidence.

His hair, on the other hand...

Marth was admittedly a bit apprehensive when Link first offered to cut his hair. It had been getting on the unruly side of late; he wouldn't admit it out loud, but his bangs had compromised his vision in a crisis more than once now. He'd considered simply tying his hair up at one point, but the idea was quickly rejected ( ... )

"..."

Perhaps he should try to cut it in the same general style... Honestly, Link was more worried about the bangs (and his cape, but Link had chosen to remain silent on that) than the hair growing out in the back. Then again, he wasn't used to thinking about how to style hair too often; Link just cut his hair short and left it at that. So, with a soft sigh, the blond started to cut the hair on the right side of Marth's head.

How long was the prince's hair when he first got here? Snip!

"Thank you for this, Link," Marth began, doing his best to keep still. Well, this didn't seem so bad so far--

Snip!

"Ah--!"

And Link almost jumped at that reaction. Almost. Considering he still had a knife in hand, perhaps it was a good thing that he had nerves of steel.

There was a moment of panic (worry?) before Link asked; "I didn't cut you by accident, did I?" But Marth had been sitting still and Link had checked to make sure that the bit of hair he was cutting was no where near Marth's ear or head or anywhere else that might have caused injury.
