The small boy looked no more than eight or nine years old, sitting in the room, alone. He was very thin and pale, and looked up to the entering boy with sad, lonely eyes. In fact, the loneliness throughout the entire room was profound and encompassing. But upon the recognition that someone was entering, his expression seemed to light up a little - filling with a sort of childish hope at the sight of company, the kind many children would, when someone came to them after a lonely night. He didn't answer (perhaps he couldn't), but instead he just stepped carefully forward before hesitating. He seemed to want this boy to come to him.

The loneliness bothered Akito, being one who hated being along with a passion. The boy also looked...well, he wasn't exactly healthy seeming. The loneliness even bothered Agito, annoyed that there could be a kid in this condition.

The light smiled a little at seeing that, walking towards the kid. "I won't hurt you. Are you all alone here?" he asked softly. Normal instinct would be to crouch down to see less intimidating, but...with his height, there really wasn't a point. A 4' 3'' kid didn't tend to seem frightening, unless Agito was out.

Something seemed off about all this...but he shook it off for now, focusing on the boy.

The child still did not answer, but he began to smile a little bit - it was still painfully lonely, but he appeared to be genuinely glad for the company that this boy was providing him, even if it was only his smile and body language that expressed this. He didn't move any closer this time, but he rose his arms slowly, as if asking for a hug. The desire to go to him, to hold him would be strong - the boy just waited, seeming to hope that Akito would ease his loneliness.

That just made Akito smile all the more, glad he could do something. The quiet made him curious, wondering why the boy didn't talk. Was he mute? It was possible, after all...

The light didn't mind at all going towards the kid. Even without the desire to go towards him, he would have anyway. He didn't hesitate to curl his arms around the boy, wanting to help somehow.

The little boy moved slightly again, to meet the other, slightly larger boy. He wrapped his arms around him tightly, hugging him and burying his face into the other's chest for a time, glad to have his loneliness eased a little. He didn't want to let go yet - the loneliness in the room that must have compelled Akito so was just as strong as ever.

The little boy wanted him to stay.

He didn't mind that, letting himself hum softly to fill the silence. It still felt so lonely in here...

"You must have been here a long time for it to feel like this..." the light murmured softly. So much time alone...he knew how that felt, being alone. He was just lucky to have gotten Agito. The dark was watching from their mind, thinking to himself.

Akito was fine with staying for the moment. It wasn't right, people being left alone after all.

The little boy was still silent. He didn't say anything to the older boy. He just held onto him for a little longer, clinging tight to his shirt as he hummed quietly.

After a moment, though, he began to break away. But he was far from satisfied - he would keep Akito with him, still. But instead of a hug he reached to take the other boy's hand in his, holding onto it tight.

Akito blinked a little bit at that, but smiled and nodded. He'd stay with the boy if he wanted.

He couldn't have left even if he'd wanted to.

The light took a moment to look around the room, strangely ordinary compared to some of the other rooms. Something about the room made his eye hurt a bit though...he turned his attention back to the boy instead, watching him quietly.

The little boy was as quiet as ever, simply holding onto Akito's hand tightly, instead now, now that they were no longer locked in an embrace - and embrace that, for all intents and purposes, should not have been physically possible in the first place. He stayed close to the older, living boy's side.

And then he began to tug - gently - on the hand he held, beginning to try and get Akito to leave the room with him. To go out into the hallway.

Akito head-tilted curiously. Follow?

He didn't know...those stories of monsters and the like bothered him still. But...surely the boy would know? He seemed to have been here longer after all.

So the light just smiled in answer, content to follow the boy. Something told him this was alright. Following him couldn't do any harm, right? Right.
