Characters: Chitose and you Setting: the islands Time: Night 010 Summary: Chitose's been carrying around a bag of food. It had to run out sometime. Warnings: none
Axl wandered nearby, not particularly noticing her just yet-- he was preoccupied with the bloody wound that marked his face, right over the old scars that crossed between his eyes. He wiped at the "blood" with a hand, grunting a little when it didn't come off. That stuff stained.
At length, he scanned to make sure the hell hounds were at a distance still, and put down his weapons and sat, trying his best to clean up his face with just his hands. He had no cloth or anything of the sort on his person; the closest thing was the synthetic yet alive "skin" of his face.
Chitose's breath left her in a little gasp as she stepped back, away from this strange man and his wound. It reminded her a bit of some of the villagers, running away from something half in pieces and dripping blood.
Her hand tightened around her bag, made from some old cloth she'd found in the house. For lack of anywhere to hide she froze, as if she might be able to escape notice that way.
Axl stopped for a beat and then glanced at her-- moving had been her mistake, as his sensors picked up on the movement, even though he wasn't exactly looking. A once white hand lingered over his injury, now stained crimson, and he blinked at her, not sure what to say.
Chitose wasn't sure how to react. A stranger had spoken--it was rude not to reply, but it was a stranger in a place like this.
"Mmn."
She stepped back, uneasily, and used her bag for cover, bringing it up to her face to hide everything but her eyes and the tips of her fingers that clutched at the cloth.

"H-hey-- I'm not gonna hurt you or anything," he said, trying to sound comforting. What a strange girl.
