Russel had thought to find his bag (he'd dropped it during the fight with Machi [he really needed to keep better care of his things]) and get some food, but first he needed to find his brother. He'd find Fletcher and then... He really was hungry, but he'd press on. And there he was. Russel's stomach turned; the boy was passed out on the ground.

He really was a horrible brother, letting this happen. One thing after another. First the red water, and now he was letting his brother pass out. He knelt next to him, picking him up. He'd gotten so light; he was easy to carry, even like this. He needed to figure out what was wrong with his brother. And find his bag. He was so hungry.

Russel was moving with purpose towards the cliff. He'd noticed Fletcher's hair at this point, and it made him feel that much worse. Who knows what had happened while he'd been gone. He couldn't keep doing this. He couldn't keep fucking up taking care of his brother. And yet, every time he screwed up, he told himself this, and there he did it again.

He wasn't any better than dad. At least dad had the decency not to pretend he was going to take care of them. At least dad...

He wasn't going to become a mess.

Anna was doing fine with coping with everything that had happened so far, the appearing in a strange house, being attacked, the house disappearing, the pond and islands showing up...it was all fine with her but the rain? When the first drop hit her nose Anna was kind of relieved but not to the point of considering the rain a blessing. Then when the heavens broke open and it began to pour Anna was cursing whatever god watched over this hellhole.

She was stomping around on the muddy grass, trying to find someone or something to talk to to distract herself from the pains in her stomach. She hadn't eaten since she got here...a big mistake. Anna moaned when a cramp shot through her abdomen. "Gods," Anna muttered as she fell to her knees and hunched over herself waiting for the pain to stop. What had she done to deserve this torment?

From the moment he'd felt the first few raindrops, Kyo felt drained. He hated the rain. He'd tried to find a single spot where he could hide wait it out, but no luck.

He took a few steps, but couldn't muster the energy to go any further. So he just sat in the grass, face growing longer with each passing minute leaving him more soaked.

Eventually he just flopped over on his side, curling up with a pathetic-sounding sound, something between a groan and a whine.

Anna looked over to her side where the pathetic sounding noise had come from and was a little surprised to see an orange hair young man curled on his side. Anna just looked at him for a moment before crawling towards him on her hands and knees. Anna reached out and touched his shoulder. "What's the matter?" She asked instead of the typical 'are you okay?' because the answer was obviously no.

Anna resisted the urge to flop down next to him, instead settling on her knees again. She waited for him to roll over and answer.

Kyo looked up blearily at the touch, blinking at the water dripping from his hair into his eyes. Said eyes flew open wide at the sight of a strange woman right next to him. If the weather had been better, he might have leapt away, hissing and spitting. But as the rain showed no signs of stopping, all the teen could do was scuttle backwards a foot or so in a very undignified manner. He could barely even glare, he was just so exhausted.

"I'm fine," he tried to growl out, but it came out far whinier than planned. He ignored the chill beginning to settle into his skin through his thin black shirt.
