He wasn't the only one worried now that night had set in. Somehow, Souji had lost track of Nanako since arriving, and though his thoughts strayed now and again to the odd blonde who'd been in the room when he woke up- did he know? Probably not; he never said a word to the two of them; he'd had no interest -and what mattered foremost was finding her again. He could still see, still hear, how afraid she was when telling him about nights here; he wasn't going to let anything that might be lurking get her.

Souji was just about to call out for her- for anyone; being alone in this weird room was giving him the creeps -when a voice reached his ears first. Actually, many voices. Friends, teachers... all faint, background to a single patch of words somehow standing out with surprising clarity above the rushing babble.

"Tch. Can't believe something like this is inside of me...
"Kanji, you're..."
"Yeah, I know..." "...I'm just scared shitless of being rejected. I'm a total pansy who tries to make everyone hate me.""Y-Yosuke? Kanji ( ... )

Yosuke heard a familiar voice, one he could never mistake. Seta? Here? No, it couldn't be. He'd been thinking of his friends, of Inaba and arguments with Chie. It was only natural his best friend would come to mind. He was letting the house get the best of him again, that had to be it. Scolding himself a little in his mind, he wondered what his partner would say if he could see him now. A thank you, for taking after Nanako-chan? Would they share a laugh that even here he'd managed to piss off Chie? Would they just worry about the rest of the team? It was too bad there wasn't any real way to know ( ... )

He was taken by surprise by the sudden Yosukeness and stumbled just a bit from the pat, having been absorbed in his thoughts when his friend had come over. For a moment or two, he thought the same thing Yosuke had: that he was imagining the other Persona-user, but it was undeniable. He really was here, like Nanako had said.

"Great to see you, too, Yosuke," Souji laughed dryly, though there wasn't any hiding the relief in his voice. He was glad to see another familiar face in his weird house, and his best friend on top of that. "I can't say exactly when I got here, but it was daytime when I woke up, if that helps." The day had been unusually long; who was to say how long, in 24-hour days, he'd been here?

"I talked to Nanako, too. She found me. I'm so glad she was here with you guys and not by herself..." He couldn't help but sigh. The fact that Nanako was here at all bothered him a lot, but not as much as it would if she'd been here all alone. Hell, he was glad he wasn't here by himself! "I just wish I knew where she ran off to."

Yosuke was relieved - at least his friend had arrived in the morning. It always sucked when people arrived at night, and even when they could take care of themselves it was still a lot to spring on someone. "It doesn't help all that much, but it's good to know. Time's so weird here. It's been over a month and I'm still not used to it."

It was also good news that he'd seen Nanako, though it was less promising that he hadn't seen her lately. Still, it wasn't all bad - with so many people in the house, she had to be with someone who would look out for her. "I'm sure Nanako-chan is fine, partner. The last time I saw her, she was hanging around the bear. I'd bet anything she's with him now, and even if he's a pain in the ass, he'll make sure nothing happens to her." It was true, and something of a relief for Yosuke. He cared about Nanako-chan, he did, but watching out for her all the time was tiring and stressful. Being father and Big Brother in one person was too much, and with everyone there, they could all look after her and she'd be ( ... )

"...A month? Geez, Yosuke." Time must be very weird here; Souji could have sworn he'd talked to Yosuke before he went home what could have only been, at best, a few days ago. His internal clock was upside-down, inside-out, and completely backwards with how differently things ran in this house, so on second thought, a month didn't seem quite so impossible.

"Teddie's here, too, huh? Is he alright outside the TV?" He wasn't quite so worried knowing that the bear was wandering around, too. Teddie would look out for a little girl if they ran into each other; he was nice like that.

Souji would give Yosuke a confused look after a moment, however. "Nanako is the only one I've seen. Who's Naoto?" A friend Yosuke had made in the house, maybe? The name wasn't ringing any bells.
